ABSTRACT

Background: The Implementation of system career level encourage this profesion to improve a self quality in accordance with their self interest. This case will stimulate nurses to give their optimal nursing services. The development of career level in Hospital has been implemented. However, there is still who does not understand the implementation and the process yet. The aims of this study was to know the overview of  implementation of nurse career level development in Hospital.

Methods: Research was a descriptive research which used a survey as the research planning. The population of this research is the  nurses of RSUP Dr.Kariadi Semarang from the various nurses career level in the hospitalization service unit. The sample of this research is 90 nurses and it is taken by using proportionate stratified random sampling technique

Results: The research showed the perception of nurses in the implementation of the career development   67.8% were good enough, the perception of the implementation of the admission  78.9% were  good enough, the perception of the implementation of competency assessment  75.6% were  good enough, the perception of the recommendations 66.7% were perception of new career level as much as 73.3% were good enough.

Conclusion: in the overview of conducting nurses career level development in RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang, most of the same perception toward the conducting of career level development of nurses.

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang: Pelaksanaan sistem jenjang karir memacu profesi perawat untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri sesuai dengan peminatan masing-masing. Hal ini akan menstimulasi perawat untuk dapat memberikan pelayanan keperawatan yang optimal. Namun demikian ada perawat yang belum berpendapat tentang pelaksanaan dan prosesnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi perawat dalam pelaksanaan pengembangan jenjang karir.

Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan rancangan penelitian adalah survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perawat RSUP Dr. Kariadi Semarang, dari berbagai jenjang karir perawat di unit pelayanan rawat inap. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 90 perawat dengan teknik pengambilan sampel propotionate stratified random sampling.

Simpulan: Penelitian menunjukkan persepsi perawat secara keseluruhan persepsi perawat dalam pelaksanaan pengembangan jenjang karir perawat sebagian besar adalah cukup baik sebanyak 67,8%. meliputi persepsi pelaksanaan pendaftaran 78,9% cukup baik, persepsi pelaksanaan penilaian kompetensi sebesar 75,6% cukup baik, persepsi pemberian rekomendasi sebagian besar cukup baik sebesar 66,7% persepsi pemberian jenjang karir baru sebanyak 73,3% cukup baik.

Saran untuk rumah sakit khususnya menyiapkan sistem jenjang karir perawat berdasarkan kompetensi yang meliputi alur, model, uji kompetensi dengan cara memberikan informasi yang jelas dan mudah di pahami oleh perawat.
