ABSTRACT

Background: The two most common test to diagnose hearing loss are tuning fork test and Pure tone audiometry. The tuning fork test diagnoses hearing loss and  the type of hearing loss. The pure tone audiometry is used to determine hearing loss, the type and the level of hearing loss as well as the level. This study aimed to compare the accuracy of  tuning fork test with pure tone audiometry.

ABSTRACT

Background: The stress may decrease macrophage activity that has an important role in intracellular bacteria inoculation. The aim of this study was proving that 14 days stressor could change the liver histopathology pattern of Balb/C inoculated by Listeria monocytogenes.

Methods: This was an experimental study using the post test only control group design. The samples were 12 Balb/C,  divided into 2 groups; Group K (control), without any electric-shock stressor,… Continue reading

ABSTRACT

Background: Several researchers had found that garlic (Allium sativum) could prevent liver injury in rats intoxicated by CCl based on microscopic examinations. This study was proposed to prove that Allium sativum could decrease the level of serum glutamic-pyruvic transaminase (SGPT), glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT), and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in Wistar rats treated with carbon etrachlorida (CCl).

Methods: This research was a true experimental study with the post test only control… Continue reading

ABSTRACT
Background: The study is to prove the effect of L-arginine on the macrophage phagocyte ability in mice which stre ssed by electric foot shock and Listeria monocytogenes infection. It is showed by the number of latex beads which were phagocyted by macrophage in 200 macrophage.
Methods : The study was Laboratory Experimental and using The Post Test  Only Control Group Design. The 12 male Balb/C were then divided into  2 groups and… Continue reading
